How does handing off to friends, family or colleagues work?

Book a box online, put the item in and close the door. Then send the other person the correct link or QR code, for example by WhatsApp, email or SMS. They open the box with their code and pick up. You get a notification when picked up.

How much does a handoff cost?

One-time booking for the first 24 hours: XS €1.99, S €2.99, M €3.99, L €4.99. Each additional usage day costs €0.99. For 'Round trip' two ways are booked (outbound + return, each 2× 24 hours): XS €3.99, S €4.99, M €5.99, L €6.99. Each additional day per direction is €0.99. You always see the prices before booking.

Which box size do I need?

For a key or small documents, XS is usually enough. For books, hardware or smaller parcels, S or M. For larger items, L. Available sizes are shown directly during booking. The door must close without pressure.

How secure is the handoff?

The handoff is technically secured. The box is opened with individual access details, such as a code, QR code or link. Many partner locations have additional security measures, such as access control or video surveillance. Important: Only share codes and links with the right person.

What cancellation rules apply and what if the recipient does not pick up?

You can cancel as long as the booking has not yet been used. We refund the amount paid minus already incurred reservation, partner, payment-processing and technical-handling costs. These costs are €1.99 for a one-time booking and €2.99 for "Round trip". Once the box has been opened or an item has been dropped off, picked up or returned, automatic cancellation is no longer possible. If the recipient does not pick up, you can retrieve the item yourself or extend the booking where available. What happens if the box is defective or occupied on site?

If the box cannot be used on site, please contact support immediately or use the partner hotline shown at the location. We will review the case and, where possible, look for a suitable solution. If use was not possible due to a technical issue that you did not cause, we refund the booking amount according to the Terms and Conditions.

Do I need to share my address?

No. You choose a location nearby. The other person only sees the box location, not your home address. Especially useful for handovers to neighbours, colleagues or service providers.

Can I use the box for other purposes?

Depending on the booking type, you can drop something off, pick something up or book a use with return. You choose size, location and price directly during booking.
